The Track and Field evenings sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays focus on speed development and are suitable to sprinters (100m, 200m and 400m) and hurdlers. There are also training sessions on Saturday morning.
Session Level: Intermediate to Advanced athletes
Age: School Years 7+
Timing: 7pm-9pm
Lead Coach: Chris Millard
These sessions incorporate:
* Warm up
* Running technique work including shape and flow
* Plyometrics
* Speed work incorporating resistance, races and relays
* Speed endurance
* General fitness and core strengthening exercises
* Cool down and stretching exercises
Additionally, at any one time the club has a number of members and parents acquiring Coaching and Fitness Running licences.
All our coaches are DBS checked and have attended and completed Safeguarding and First Aid courses.
