North Somerset Athletic Club is one of the largest junior athletics clubs in the UK, together with an active adult membership.
Our mission is to inspire the next generation of athletes with structured training sessions and offering pathways to competitive athletics and running.
An award-winning club, North Somerset Athletic Club (NSAC) was founded in 2004 and boasts a custom-built compact athletics facility at Clevedon School as well as satellite centres in Nailsea and at Worle in Weston-super-Mare.
The club runs regular weekly training sessions as well as competing at open meetings, regional leagues and regional/national championships in track and field, cross country, road and relay races – and all supported by UKA qualified coaches.
Club highlights include:
- 2023: South West Athletics Awards – Senior Female Athlete of the Year, Junior Male Athlete of the Year and Coach of the Year runner-up
- 2022: Solar lighting installed at the Clevedon School facility
- 2019: South West Athletics Awards – Young Volunteer of the Year (Sophie Millard)
- 2019: South West Athletics Awards – Official of the Year (Martin Fisher)
- 2018: South West Athletics Awards – Club of the Year
- 2017: Phase II of athletics facility at Clevedon School completed
- 2015: Phase I of athletics facility at Clevedon School completed
- 2011: England Athletics Awards: Development Club of the Year and Coach of the Year (Chris Millard)
- 2011: Inaugural charity/fundraiser event – 24-hour Pier Relay at Weston-super-Mare
- 2009: Unsung Heros Award winner, Avon area – Chris Millard
- 2004: NSAC founded by Head Coach, Chris Millard
